Belay set Mammut Smarter Belay Package grey

A reliable belay package for safe climbing

Whether you are starting out with climbing or looking for a reliable partner for the wall, the Mammut Smarter Belay Package will give you confidence. It consists of the Smart 2.0 semi-automatic belay device, the secure Smart HMS carabiner, and the removable Smarter add-on. The belay device stands out with its intuitive handling and a brilliantly simple design without moving cams or joints. The self-braking mechanism with dynamic slippage is formed by clever cut-outs in the body of the belay device working together with the carabiner.

Details you will appreciate every time you belay

Paying out rope to the climber is lightning-fast and snag-free, while lowering is smooth and easy. The package includes the Smart HMS carabiner equipped with a plastic keeper. This prevents accidental cross-loading of the carabiner in the harness, acts as a safety against the lock unscrewing, and indicates its proper locking. The Smarter add-on is a great accessory for developing correct habits when paying out rope, and it can be easily removed from the belay device at any time.

• suitable for dynamic ropes with a diameter of 8.7 to 10.5 mm
• belay device with EN 15151 certification
• screw-gate carabiner with EN 12275 certification
• removable plastic keeper on the carabiner
• excellent price-to-performance ratio

Our tip

When lowering a climber, simply push the lever of the belay device upwards, which releases the rope similarly to a classic tubular belay device. But do not forget that despite the self-braking function, you must always keep the brake rope firmly under control in your hand.
