Pressure canister Joe's RideAir
A tubeless tyre needs to be seated onto the rim with a single sudden blast of air during installation, which a standard pump cannot…
do — it cannot deliver the volume before the air escapes through the gap at the bead. A pressure tank (booster) therefore stores air first and then releases it all at once. You will recognise this by the typical pop as the bead snaps into place. The equipment usually includes adapters and spare valves, which get clogged with sealant over time. At home, you can bypass this with a compressor, but not on the road. Only pour in the sealant after the bead is seated, not before.
