A wall mount saves the most space, but the anchoring is crucial…
plasterboard requires different wall plugs than concrete, and a bike with accessories weighs more than it looks. Hanging the bike by the wheel is the cheapest and most space-saving option, but manufacturers do not recommend it for carbon rims — they do not tolerate point pressure well. A wall mount holding the frame or horizontal storage is gentler. A wall protector under the bike comes in handy, because the tyre will leave a mark on the plaster over time. Choose the hanging height so that you can lift the bike without straining your back.
