Men's cycling shoes Terra black, grey ATSH06A
A road cycling shoe is based on a stiff sole that does not flex, and therefore nothing is lost when pedalling.
Stiffness is usually indicated by an index — a higher number means greater transfer and lower comfort when walking, which you will limit to a few steps anyway. You can tighten a dial closure even while riding, and more evenly than with Velcro straps. The cleat is mounted under the forefoot and its position affects the knee, so do not experiment with the setup right before a long ride. Take shoe width seriously; a stiff sole will not stretch a narrow shoe and pinches after an hour.
