Descender CAMP Druid

The Camp Safety Druid Pro is a lightweight and compact auto-braking descender for work at height and rescue services. The descender is designed for static ropes with a diameter of 9.9 - 11 mm. A high level of safety is ensured by the “anti-panic” function, which automatically locks the descender and immediately stops the lowering or abseiling if too much pressure is applied to the release lever. The body and lever are made of robust forged aluminium alloy. The moving parts are made of precision-cast stainless steel. The internal cam mechanism is patented and offers very smooth rope control along with slight slippage in the event of a fall, which protects the rope and increases its lifespan. Paying out rope when belaying a leader is made easier by a projection for the right index finger, located on the moving part of the cam near the attachment hole. Simply open the cam with your index finger to quickly pay out a longer section of slack rope. In the event of an accidental fall into a cam released in this way, the belayer has no chance of holding the cam open with one finger; the cam engages immediately when the rope is tensioned and prevents it from slipping. A steel ring is used to tether the descender to an anchor point, preventing it from being dropped to the ground.

Certifications:

• EN 12841/C: working line descender for a maximum load of up to 120 kg; can also be used for rope access rescue with a maximum load of up to 200 kg.
• EN 341/2A: rescue and evacuation descender for 11 mm static ropes with a maximum load of up to 120 kg.
• EN 15151: for climbing structures using mountaineering techniques with dynamic ropes from 9.9 to 11 mm in diameter.
