Ice axe Petzl Piolet Quark Marteau with adze

The QUARK is a versatile ice axe designed for technical alpinism and ice climbing. Its balance and the ICE pick allow a solid placement in any type of ice. The TRIGREST and GRIPREST handrests improve handling and comfort in any situation. They provide a more efficient grip on difficult sections. The QUARK ice axe features a fully modular construction and easily adapts to technical, varied terrain: snow couloirs, corners, north faces, and glaciers.

Versatile ice axe:

• the shaft is curved below the head and the GRIPREST QUARK handrest at the bottom protects hands from scraping against the ice
• the shaft has a steel spike at the lower end and is straight enough for use in piolet-canne mode
• the shaft is hydroformed for optimal grip in the middle
• the precisely shaped bi-material handle provides good grip and insulates against the cold
• the TRIGREST QUARK and GRIPREST QUARK handrests improve support in difficult sections
• 550 g with adze or hammer, PANNE, MARTEAU

Efficient placement in any type of ice:

• the ICE pick tapers to the tip (3.3 mm) and is versatile for all conditions: snow, ice and mixed terrain
• MASSELOTTE weights can be added to the pick to adjust the weight and improve swing inertia

  Modular construction:

• the fully modular head construction allows the technical features of the ice axe to be adjusted
• compatible with Petzl accessories: PUR'ICE pick, MINI MARTEAU hammer, MASSELOTTES weights...
• the TRIGREST QUARK handrest is height-adjustable without the need for tools
