Via ferrata lanyard Mammut Skywalker Classic marine

A reliable partner for via ferratas

The Mammut Skywalker Classic via ferrata set represents a simple yet highly proven solution for your via ferrata adventures. This lightweight and ultra-compact via ferrata set from the Swiss brand Mammut is designed to provide you with maximum safety and easy handling. It is designed for climbers with a weight of 40 to 120 kg, so it reliably covers the needs of most outdoor enthusiasts. This is the via ferrata set on its own — a climbing harness and helmet are not included.

The via ferrata set is equipped with classic lightweight carabiners with a large gate opening, which are easy to clip and feature a slide-down locking mechanism. The elastic arms keep the carabiners constantly within reach, making re-clipping on the steel cable significantly easier. Furthermore, the carabiners meet the strict UIAA 121 standard for edge loading, so you can rely on them 100% even in demanding mountain terrain.

Key features of the Skywalker Classic via ferrata set

• ultra-compact energy absorber (shock absorber)
• lightweight carabiners with a large gate opening and a slide-down locking mechanism
• carabiners pass the edge loading test (UIAA 121)
• elastic arms keep the carabiners always within reach
• arm length 52 cm (86 cm when extended)
• resting loop on the absorber for a comfortable resting position
• label inside the pouch clearly shows whether the shock absorber has been deployed
• indicator in the attachment loop shows when it is time to replace the via ferrata set
• certification: CE EN 958:2017 and UIAA 121

Our tip

Use the integrated loop directly on the shock absorber to attach a resting carabiner. In more demanding sections, you can safely and comfortably take a short rest, while remaining constantly connected to the energy absorber.
