With fingers, patience is more important than anywhere else…
muscles get stronger in weeks, but tendons and pulleys need months, and overloading them is the most common climbing injury. Start with short sessions, taking weight off or keeping your feet on the ground, and increase the load over weeks. Leave small crimps and one-finger hangs for later. Warm up your fingers thoroughly before training. And if you feel a sharp pain or a pop in your finger, stop your training immediately — you cannot just walk this off.
